I've been eagerly awaiting more news on the upcoming Sony a7R VI full-frame mirrorless camera.
Any credible information on the potential timeline would be much appreciated! Looking forward to discussing.
The Sony a7R V was released in late 2022, so we expected a7R VI to be released in late 2025. About 3 years circle.
Don't wait on Sony a7R VI, you may disappoint when it released, Just get a7R V now.
.
You'd better waiting for a7R 10. 😊
Sony has just released the a7CR, maybe a7R6 will be delayed in 2025 to 2026.
Sony a7v is expected in early 2025. So I think a7RVI is expected in late 2025.
Did this last week, worked perfectly
Ive seen this cycle play out many times over the years. Sony usually runs a 3 to 4 year window for these high-res bodies. Technically, since the V landed in late 2022, we are looking at a late 2025 release for the VI. One thing to watch for isnt the pixel count though—61MP is plenty—but the sensor readout speed. My guess is they will try to push for better video specs and faster AI processing. Quick tip: if you are sitting on an older A7RIII or IV, honestly the Sony a7R V 61.0MP Full-frame Mirrorless Camera is still a total powerhouse. You wont notice a night and day difference for a while even when the new one drops. Grab the current tech and dont look back... waiting for the perfect camera usually just means you miss out on shots today.
I think a7R VI will not released until well in 2025.
After Sony released a7 V, probably in 2025.
In late 2025.
