I recently purchased a Sony full frame mirrorless camera (a7 III) and am looking to buy a high-quality, wide-angle lens to capture expansive landscapes and architecture photos. However, most wide-angle full frame lenses are quite expensive.

Can anyone recommend good, relatively affordable wide-angle lenses that work well with Sony full frame cameras? Ideally something under $500 that provides a focal length of 20mm or wider with decent image quality and performance. Let me know any specific lens models and your experiences using them for wide-angle photography with Sony. Thanks in advance for the recommendations!

The Sony FE 28mm f/2 lens is a great choice for your a7iii. The US price is $448 currently.

Hello! You might want to check out the Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD. It's a bit more expensive than some other options, but it gives you the flexibility of a zoom lens and maintains a constant f/2.8 aperture. It's a great value considering the performance.

For price under $500, I recommend the Rokinon AF 14mm f/2.8 FE Lens.

The Viltrox 16mm f/1.8 is a budget-friendly wide-angle lens that, while not GM-quality, offers surprisingly good performance for its price point.
