I'm looking to upgrade my photography gear and have been considering switching to a Sony mirrorless camera. With so many options available, I'm having a hard time deciding which one to choose.
I'm primarily interested in landscape and portrait photography, and I'd like a camera that offers excellent image quality, fast autofocus, and good low-light performance. I'm also hoping to find something that's relatively compact and easy to carry around.
I've been looking at the Sony a7 IV and the a7R V, but I'm open to other suggestions as well. What do you think is the best Sony mirrorless camera on the market right now, considering my needs and the latest technology?
I think a7 IV is the best choice.

For professionals and serious enthusiasts, I think the Sony a1 is as good as it gets right now. Yes, it costs $6500, but you get a lot for your money. Blazing fast 30 fps electronic shutter, 50.1MP resolution, 8K video, a built-in vertical grip, and probably the best AF on the market. The image quality and dynamic range are stunning. If price is no object and you want the absolute best, the a1 is the pinnacle of Sony's mirrorless lineup currently.
For landscape and portrait photography, the Sony a7 IV is an excellent choice, offering outstanding image quality, fast autofocus, and solid low-light performance in a relatively compact body. The Sony a7R V is also exceptional, particularly for landscapes, with its higher resolution sensor providing incredible detail, though it’s a bit bulkier.
For a balance between performance and portability, consider the Sony a7C II, which combines full-frame quality with a more compact form factor.
