Looking for several lens recommendations for my new a7c, share your opinions
I've been using the Sony a7C for a while, and I love the Sony FE 28-60mm f/4-5.6 for everyday shooting. It's compact, and the performance is quite impressive for its size.
If you're into wide-angle photography, the Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD is a fantastic choice. It's sharp, has a fast aperture, and is great for landscapes and architectural shots.
For portraits, I'd suggest looking at the Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM. It's a bit on the pricier side, but the image quality and bokeh are outstanding.
Don't forget about the telephoto end! The Sony FE 70-200mm F2.8 GM OSS II is a beast for sports and wildlife photography. It's definitely an investment, but well worth it for the quality.

> Looking for several lens recommendations for my new a7c, share your opinions Honestly, its kinda tough to give solid advice without knowing what youre actually doing with the camera. I tried some of the heavier lenses others mentioned and unfortunately had issues with the balance... they really ruined the whole point of having a compact body like the a7c imo. It was way more frustrating than I expected and the handling was just not as good as I hoped it would be. Just to help narrow it down, whats your actual budget for these? And are you mostly doing street photography or more like travel and landscapes? Just dont want to suggest something thats gonna be a total waste of money for your style...
The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens is an amazing prime for the Sony a7C. With that wide f/1.4 aperture, it's awesome for low light, plus it's tack sharp. It's perfect for environmental portraits and general shooting. Around $900.
Hello!
The Sony a7C is an excellent full-frame mirrorless camera, and there are many great lens options available depending on your shooting preferences and needs. Here are a few recommendations:
Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM: This is a highly versatile lens perfect for general shooting, travel, and professional work. The wide aperture offers great low light performance and shallow depth of field.
Sony FE 85mm f/1.8: If you're into portrait photography, this lens provides fantastic image quality and beautiful bokeh at a more affordable price point.
Sony FE 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS: For landscape and architectural photography, this wide-angle zoom lens is a great choice. Its optical stabilization helps you capture sharp images in low-light conditions.
Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS: For photographers needing to shoot from a distance, such as in sports or wildlife photography, this telephoto lens offers outstanding performance and optical quality.
Sony FE 50mm f/1.8: If you're looking for a cost-effective standard prime lens, this 50mm lens is a solid choice. It's versatile for a wide range of shooting scenarios, from portraits to street photography.
Of course, the best choice will depend on your specific needs and budget. I hope these suggestions help!
I think the new released Sony FE 20-70mm f4 g lens is a lightweight and has great image quality
Good to know!
For the Sony a7C, I'd highly recommend the Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS lens. It's a fantastic all-around zoom lens that is incredibly sharp and has great image stabilization. The constant f/4 aperture is very useful for low light. It's around $1300 new but you can find great used prices.
