I'm looking for recommendations on the best Sony E-mount macro lens for my Sony Alpha mirrorless camera. I'm interested in getting into macro photography, specifically for capturing detailed shots of insects, flowers, and small objects.
I'd prefer a lens that offers a good balance between image quality, autofocus performance, and value for money. I'm open to both Sony and third-party lens options.

For those on a tighter budget, take a look at the Sony FE 50mm f/2.8 Macro lens. It's a compact, lightweight lens that still delivers very good image quality for macro work. You'll have to get a bit closer to your subjects compared to longer focal length macros, but the 50mm is a versatile lens that also works well for portraits and other types of shots. An excellent value option for E-mount shooters.
