How does the Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM control chromatic aberrations?
I've been using this lens for about a year now, and I'm impressed with how well it handles chromatic aberrations. Sony has incorporated two XA (extreme aspherical) elements and two ED (extra-low dispersion) glass elements in the optical design, which effectively minimize both lateral and longitudinal CA. In real-world shooting, I rarely notice any significant color fringing, even in challenging high-contrast scenes. When I do see some CA, it's usually very minor and easily removed in Lightroom with a single click.
