Honestly i have been so happy with my Sony RX100 VII even without a discount. It just works well and i have zero complaints. If you want to save money though, you might want to look at the refurbished market or even some local buy and sell groups instead of waiting for a black friday drop that probably wont come. Buying used actually reminds me of this one time i met a guy to buy a tripod and he ended up selling me on his home-made hot sauce business. He had like fifty jars of this dragon breath sauce in his trunk and insisted i try some right there in the parking lot. My mouth was on fire for like three hours and i totally forgot to check if the tripod legs even locked properly. Anyway lol sorry kinda went off topic there. TL;DR: Sony rarely discounts this one, so try the used or refurb market if you want a better price.

ngl I kinda disagree with the whole waiting game for a deal because the reliability on these is so good it basically pays for itself. Ive been really happy with mine and it just works whenever I need it. honestly this whole thing reminds me of when my buddy was obsessed with finding a bargain for a trip we took to the mountains. he spent months comparing prices and reading forums just to save maybe fifty bucks. by the time we were supposed to leave, he still hadnt bought anything and ended up borrowing his sisters old point and shoot from like 2012. we got to this tiny cabin and the thing wouldnt even turn on because the humidity was so high. we spent the entire weekend trying to dry it out with a hairdryer we borrowed from a neighbor who was actually there to hunt mushrooms. the neighbor ended up taking us on this three hour tour of different fungi instead of us taking any actual photos... was a weird trip but the mushrooms were actually pretty cool i guess.

Check Amazon, some times third-party sellers have better deals.
