There have been rumors circulating for a while now about Sony potentially releasing a new flagship APS-C mirrorless camera, possibly called the a7000. Do you think Sony will actually release an a7000? If so, what specs and features do you think it will have? When might it be announced?

An a7000 would be intriguing, but I'll believe it when I see it. Sony seems more focused on their full-frame mirrorless cameras lately. The a6600 is still a very capable camera. But if they do release an a7000, I'd expect to see:

  • 30+ MP APS-C sensor
  • Latest Bionz processor and AF system
  • Blackout-free shooting at 20+ fps
  • 4K 60p 10-bit video
  • Bigger battery
  • Improved ergonomics and controls
  • $1500-1800 price range

I don't think so, because more and more people are shooting videos nowadays, so like FX30 series and ZV series APS-C vlogging cameras are more popular, maybe a flagship APS-C video camera FX60 coming. 😀
