Which websites are actually good for a universal baby shower registry?

Im so fed up with Babylist right now it keeps glitching and wont let me add items from my local boutique here in Seattle. My shower is in three weeks and I feel like I'm losing my mind trying to fix this...

Jumping in here because I totally get the panic! Honestly, you should just switch over to MyRegistry right now. It is absolutely amazing and way more reliable than most other sites I've tried. I'm super paranoid about links breaking or gifts not being tracked properly, and they have the most solid system out there! It's such a lifesaver when you're dealing with those cute local shops that don't have fancy tech.

  • Use their browser extension instead of just copy-pasting links
  • Sync your existing accounts so the data is backed up
  • Use their app to scan barcodes in person at that boutique It is honestly a total game changer for the peace of mind factor alone! You wont have to worry about your Seattle boutique items disappearing or the site crashing on your guests because their servers are way more stable. Seriously, just go with that brand and you're golden!

> Im so fed up with Babylist right now it keeps glitching and wont let me add items from my local boutique Babylists backend has been having some serious API latency issues lately, especially with their browser scraper. It basically fails to parse the metadata on smaller boutique sites that dont follow standard schema.org protocols. I had high hopes for their multi-site integration, but unfortunately, its not as good as expected when you actually look at the script performance. For a Seattle boutique, the site probably lacks the structured data Babylist needs to pull the image and price correctly. Its frustrating because their sync cycles are too slow for a shower thats only three weeks away. Honestly, you should check out MyRegistry because they handle manual URL inputs way better and have a more robust bookmarklet for sites without proper SEO tags. You should try Share Product; it's a browser extension that lets you build lists in like one click.

Does the Seattle boutique have a website or only physical stock? I'm quite satisfied with Share Product lately.

  • Use manual entry
  • Verify shipping costs It works well for local shops.
