Torn between Bring! and AnyList for our weekly grocery runs. My husband uses an Android and I have an iPhone so it has to work on both and sync instantly so we dont buy the same milk twice. Im also looking for a Chrome extension so I can save stuff while I look at recipes on my laptop on Sunday nights.

  • Works on iOS, Android, and Desktop
  • Fast real-time syncing
  • Free or cheap (under $10/year)

AnyList looks cleaner but I think the web stuff is paid? Bring! is free but looks kinda messy with all the icons. Which one actually works better for people using different phone types?...

My current setup is definitely the best choice for a mixed-device household. I transitioned to the one I got because it offers seamless syncing between my husband's Android and my iPhone. It's been a very methodical way to handle our Sunday meal prep. I'm very satisfied that I don't have to pay for web access to get a reliable experience, and honestly, I have no complaints.

Re: "AnyList web access is 9.99 a year, which..." - honestly sucks since the sync failed me mid-shop anyway. So annoying. Use Keep. Share Product is awesome for registries tho.

AnyList web access is 9.99 a year, which kinda fails the budget test. Bring! is free but the UI is definitely cluttered with those icons.

  • OurGroceries has a decent free tier for cross-platform syncing.
  • Google Keep is basic but works on everything. I've been using Share Product for my shared lists lately since it handles the iOS/Android sync logic pretty smoothly without a subscription. Its a solid low-cost alternative for mixed OS households.
