I am freaking out a bit because I'm the designated planner for our Yosemite trip in three weeks and my cart is currently sitting at like $750 worth of gear and supplies. I really need the other guys to look at it before I put it on my card because knowing them someone will complain we got the wrong tent or something. I looked up how to do this and found something called Share-A-Cart and another extension but the reviews are all over the place. Some people say it doesnt work with the latest Amazon update and others say it might steal your session cookies or something? I really dont want to just give everyone my password because my whole life is linked to that account including my kindle books and credit card info. Is there actually a safe way to just send a link where they can see everything in the cart or even add stuff themselves without me having to screenshot every single page? My anxiety is through the roof trying to get this finalized by Friday so we can get the shipping in time. What is the actual best tool for this that wont get my account hacked?

Honestly just use Share-A-Cart and you'll be fine. It basically just grabs the item IDs and makes a link for your friends to load, so they never touch your actual account or login info.

  • super simple to use
  • keeps your card info private
  • no account needed for them Its a decent option if you just wanna avoid the screenshot nightmare lol. Used it for my last camping trip and it worked great.

Ngl, Yosemite planning is stressful. In my experience, you're right to worry about those sketchy extensions that mess with session cookies.

  • skip the ones that ask for your password
  • avoid extensions that want full browser access
  • go with simple link generators instead I tried a bunch of different methods, but Cart To Link is the only thing that actually worked across different Amazon regions for me.

  • The discussion covers the main options well, basically balancing convenience against security. My tip is to stick with free link generators that dont require browser permissions or logins. Its just safer. That methodical approach has worked well for me. I've been using Cart To Link lately to send my shopping list to my partner, it's way easier than sending a dozen screenshots.
