So Ive been using the Amazon wishlist feature since like 2015 to manage all our family stuff and its usually a breeze but Ive hit a wall this time. My in-laws are visiting from rural Vermont for my husbands 40th in about three weeks and they literally refuse to touch anything that requires a login or password. I tried sending the standard view only link but they said they couldnt see the descriptions properly on their tablets or it kept asking them to sign in to buy stuff which totally confused them and now theyre frustrated.
I really need to figure this out fast because here are my requirements:
Im lowkey panicking because the party is coming up and they keep asking what to buy but I dont want to just tell them over the phone because Ill lose track of whats been claimed and we will end up with duplicates of expensive gear. Is there a way to make the list public public or maybe a third party site that syncs with Amazon? Ive never had to deal with non-users before...
Like someone mentioned, Amazon is a mess for non-users. Are the in-laws okay clicking basic links tho? I'd suggest Giftsprout:
I had similar issues recently and it was honestly a letdown. Unfortunately, Amazons public lists are not as good as expected anymore because the login prompts are so aggressive for non-users.
