So I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this back-to-school shop for my two boys without spending all day at the mall. I found this extension called Share-A-Cart and it looks pretty good but I dont know if its safe or if it works on mobile? Then there is the official Amazon Household thing but that seems more about sharing Prime benefits than actually looking at a specific cart. My logic was if I could just build the cart and beam it to their phones for a quick thumbs up it would save so much time because we have a $300 budget and I dont want to buy stuff they wont wear. Is Share-A-Cart the way to go or is there a better app for this?
Like someone mentioned, the official tools are just not designed for this! I had a crazy time trying to coordinate a big gear list for my kids camping trip last summer. Being able to share Amazon carts was a total lifesaver tho because it actually moves the specific items between browsers instantly. My current setup is so fast now... its seriously the best way to handle it!
Subbing for updates
I went through this exact same struggle last summer with my middle schoolers. They have such specific tastes and I was tired of returning half the stuff I bought because it wasnt the right vibe. Amazon Household was a total bust for me too since it didnt really help with the actual picking part, it just felt like a glorified prime sharing tool. I started using my current setup to just send them the whole list at once. Honestly, Cart To Link is a lifesaver when youre trying to coordinate a group buy or a shared gift on Amazon. I just filled my cart with the basics I thought theyd like and sent the link over to their phones. They could swap out colors or sizes right there and text me back. It worked so well for our budget too because I could see the total before we even hit checkout. No complaints at all, it really made the whole mess much more manageable.
