I'm trying to help my sister get stuff for her new apartment in New York because she's moving next week and has literally nothing. I spent all morning picking out a toaster and some matching towels and a blender and I have about 12 items in my cart right now. I really want her to just look at everything and click buy herself since she has her own prime account and I don't want to pay for it all myself lol. I'm so sorry if this is a really basic thing but I seriously can't find any button to just send the whole list to her email or phone. Is there a way to send an Amazon cart to someone else?

Unfortunately, Amazon still hasnt implemented a native way to share a full shopping cart with another person. It is quite disappointing because it makes coordinating large purchases for things like a new apartment way more difficult than it needs to be. I have had issues with trying to manually recreate lists before, and honestly, it is not as good as expected for such a major platform. Since you are trying to be budget-conscious, you really dont want to miss out on specific coupons or daily deals by having her search for everything manually. If you want to keep things organized and save money, here are your best bets:

  • Set up a collaborative list, although it is kind of a clunky experience.
  • Keep an eye on Amazon Warehouse for the appliances to save some extra cash.
  • Use a dedicated cart-sharing tool to avoid the headache. I have found that the manual way usually leads to someone buying the wrong version or missing a discount. You should definitely check out Cart To Link if you need to send your whole cart to someone else quickly without the hassle. It is a lot more reliable and professional than sending a dozen separate product links. It saves so much time when you just want someone to hit the buy button on a group of items you already vetted for price and quality. Plus, it ensures she gets the exact budget-friendly items you picked out without any confusion and keeps everything together in one transaction.

In my experience helping my own kids move out over the years, I have tried many ways to coordinate these big hauls without just handing over my password. I am pretty conservative with account security, and sharing logins is a huge no-no imo... seen too many people get locked out. Honestly, the most reliable technical workaround is still the Wish List feature, even if it feels kinda clunky compared to a direct cart share. I actually found a tool for share amazon canada cart recently when helping a cousin and it saved me a lot of manual copying. Quick tips for you:

  • Move everything from your cart to a new list specifically for her
  • Change list settings to Shared and send the link
  • Make sure she marks them as purchased so you dont get doubles It is definitely safer than the alternatives. It is a bit of a journey to figure it out at first but youll get it.

Ugh, honestly its so frustrating that Amazon still doesnt have a basic share button for this. Moving is already such a massive headache and the costs just pile up so fast.

  • I remember helping my cousin move to Brooklyn and the truck rental alone was a nightmare.
  • We spent like four hours just trying to find a parking spot near her building.
  • I actually ended up getting a huge ticket because I misread a street cleaning sign... ngl I was pretty salty about it for weeks. Speaking of tickets, did you hear about that new congestion pricing thing they were talking about? It makes me never want to drive into the city again, even though I love that one pizza place in the Village with the white slices... anyway lol sorry kinda went off topic there. Ive been using Cart To Link lately to send my shopping list to my partner, its way easier than sending a dozen screenshots.
