Does anyone know a legit Chrome extension for sharing an Amazon cart with someone else so we can shop together? My roommate and I are moving into a new place in Chicago next month and we are trying to buy all the furniture and kitchen stuff on a pretty strict $500 budget which is already hard enough without us accidentally buying two of the same toaster lol.

Right now we keep texting links back and forth and its driving me crazy because I lose the threads and then I have to go back and add everything manually to my own cart to see the total price. I was looking at Share-A-Cart vs something called ShoppingParty but I cant tell which one is better for a one-time move. Share-A-Cart has way more reviews but some people say it doesnt always update the quantities right and I dont want to accidentally double order or overspend. ShoppingParty looks way cleaner but I'm a bit worried about privacy or if it actually works with Prime shipping speeds and discounts.

We really need to get the order placed by Monday night so it gets to the new apartment on time. Is there a better way to do this or should I just stick with one of those extensions? I tried the built-in Amazon list thing but you cant actually turn a list into a single cart easily without clicking every single item again... its so clunky and takes forever.

Jumping in here. Honestly, be careful with ShoppingParty since newer extensions often have session timeout bugs that drop items. If you use Share-A-Cart, make sure to double-check quantities at the final checkout screen. Syncing sometimes lags on slow wifi, so I would suggest having one person handle the actual click so you dont get duplicate toasters. It is basically the best way, just check the chrome permissions before installing tho.

Wow, moving to Chicago is so exciting!! You're spot on about the built-in Amazon lists being basically useless for actually buying stuff together. Share-A-Cart is seriously amazing and I've used it for three different moves now! It is way more reliable than the alternatives when you are on a tight deadline.

  • The 'Create Cart Code' feature is a total lifesaver.
  • It keeps your budget in check since you see the total price instantly. You guys are gonna love how much time this saves! One person should definitely do a final quick check on the quantities before hitting buy so you stay under that $500 limit. Good luck with the big move!!
