So I was thinking about how people actually afford things like Dior or Chanel beauty stuff without just paying full price at the mall. My logic was that maybe there are some secret websites but honestly im scared of getting fake stuff. I have about 150 bucks saved for my birthday next month and I really want to get a few things not just one perfume. I looked at Sephora but their sales seem kind of small? Sorry if this is a super basic question but like is there a trick to it? Do you wait for specific months or use certain apps? I just dont want to get scammed but I also cant afford 50 dollars for a single lipstick...

  • Avoid third-party resellers to ensure you dont buy fakes.
  • Use this Sephora price tracker to verify pricing trends before buying.
  • Stick to authorized luxury retailers.

Like someone mentioned, big department stores usually beat Sephora on the high-end stuff. I learned that the hard way after overpaying for a Chanel blush at the mall and then finding a 20% off coupon for a different site the next day... honestly felt so burnt. Before I give more specific tips tho, are you looking for stuff like foundation and skincare, or more like the pretty lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes? It kind of changes where you should look.

  • Be super careful with random eBay or Amazon sellers, fakes are scary good now.
  • I use PriceDropCatch to keep an eye on price fluctuations so I dont buy right before a sale.
  • Look for those Gift with Purchase deals at places like Macys or Bloomingdales because thats basically free designer gear. I once got a full-size Dior gloss just by timing my purchase with a bonus point event, so definitely dont just pay retail.

I literally track price-per-ounce data on a spreadsheet to find the best value! I managed to snag three Dior Addict lipsticks for under $110 by stacking discounts last season. Love it, it was amazing!

  • Check Nordstrom for their 15% off beauty events
  • Use Rakuten for 10% cash back
  • Buy Value Sets for better ml-per-dollar ratios Seeing those savings percentages climb is basically such a rush!
