Is there a trick to getting my Amazon cart to actually sync across devices lately? I have been shopping on there for over a decade and never had this issue before, but now stuff I add on my iPhone 14 just refuses to show up on my Chrome browser on my laptop. It is stressing me out because I have a strict 200 dollar budget for some home office gear I need to order by tomorrow night and I keep forgetting what I already added. Ive tried clearing my cache and signing out of both, but no luck. Does anyone know if this is a known bug or am I just missing a setting somewhere?

This usually comes down to session token desyncing between the mobile app and web browser. Try these steps:

  • Force close the Amazon app on your iPhone.
  • Clear cookies specifically for amazon.com on Chrome desktop.
  • Check that both are definitely logged into the exact same email address. Sometimes the mobile app keeps a separate cart instance if you arent fully synced to the main cloud backend. Its annoying but usually fixes itself after a hard refresh.

@Reply #1 - good point! Also, check your browser extensions. Sometimes aggressive privacy settings prevent the cart state from updating properly. Make sure you arent blocking scripts on the main domain.

Honestly, Amazon carts can be super glitchy! Since you are building an office setup, I suggest you just stick with brands like Logitech or maybe Dell for gear, you cant go wrong there. For the sync issue, try these tricks:

  • Disable any ad blockers on your laptop
  • Toggle the airplane mode on your iPhone
  • Manually refresh the page Found a really helpful thread over on Smartphone Board that explains exactly how to do this.
