So I'm currently trying to piece together a new home office setup since I start this new remote gig next Monday and I'm honestly a bit overwhelmed. I've been hopping between my iPhone during my commute, my old MacBook at home, and then sometimes my work computer during lunch breaks to find the best deals on a 27-inch monitor and a decent ergonomic chair. My budget is pretty firm at $800 total for everything including cables and a ring light.
The problem is my Amazon cart feels like a mess. I'll add something on my phone and then when I log in on my laptop it's either not there or it shows a different price or it says its out of stock but then it's back when I refresh. I'm trying to decide the best way to keep this all synced so I don't accidentally double-buy or miss out on a lightning deal because I was on the wrong device. It's super frustrating when you think you have the total figured out and then you open the app and the numbers are just different.
Im torn between three ways to handle this. Option one is just strictly using the main cart and hoping the sync catches up, but that feels risky with how buggy it's been lately. Option two is using the Save for Later section which I usually use for stuff I might want one day, but maybe it's better for comparing prices across devices? Or option three, should I just make a dedicated Office Setup wishlist and add everything there first before moving it to the cart only when I'm ready to checkout? I'm leaning toward the wishlist idea but I'm worried it won't show the real-time shipping dates as accurately as the cart does.
Does anyone know if the wishlist or the save for later feature syncs faster across the mobile app and desktop? I really need to get this order placed by tonight so it arrives in time for my first day. I just want to make sure whatever I'm looking at on my phone is exactly what's waiting for me when I sit down at the computer to actually pay...
I'm really satisfied with the Wishlist method for this. Honestly, the main cart is too buggy when you're jumping between devices. Just make a private list for your office gear. It works well and syncs way faster than the cart or Save for Later. Once you have your items picked out on your phone, they'll show up instantly on your MacBook list. Move to cart only when you're finally ready to pay.
Just saw this. Over the years, I've found Save for Later caches metadata more reliably than lists.
ngl i have the exact same issue and it's been a total nightmare for months. honestly, im satisfied just knowing im not the only one dealing with this mess... been using the site for over a decade and still cant find a way to share amazon cart between my phone and pc without prices jumping. still havent found a fix that works tho. the budget stuff is the worst part because the totals never match up.
