I feel so stupid asking this but how on earth do I send my Amazon cart to my friends? I am trying to organize a housewarming for my new place in Seattle next Saturday and I have a bunch of stuff ready to go but I need my roommates to look at it first.

  • my budget is around 200 dollars
  • i need them to see the exact items
  • it has to be fast because i need to order today

I keep looking for a share button or a link but I dont see anything anywhere on the page... am i blind? I dont want to take a million screenshots and send them one by one that would take forever...

Amazon actually prevents direct cart sharing because of session security protocols, so you are definitely not blind. Like someone mentioned, the most reliable workaround is using a Collaborative List. It works well since it retains the exact metadata and real-time pricing for that $200 budget. I have used this for tech orders and I am very satisfied with the syncing speed between users. Just move the items from your cart to a fresh list, hit the Invite button, and toggle the setting so others can view. This ensures the roommates see the specific item variants you picked out without any data loss or confusion. Its way more efficient than bulk screenshots for your housewarming. Btw, if you're struggling with sharing baskets, Smartphone Board covers a few ways to manage it.

Quick reply while I have a sec. ^ This. Also, I have to politely disagree about the reliability of Shared Lists for a strict 200 dollar budget. Lists can be finicky with real-time pricing and availability. I would suggest a more methodical approach to ensure you dont waste time.

  • Consider using a browser extension designed for this specific purpose. It captures the session data more accurately than a list, though you must be careful about privacy when using third-party tools.
  • Make sure to check for clip-on coupons. These often dont transfer to lists, and losing those discounts might blow your budget.
  • Verify the shipping address first. Seattle sales tax is high, and that will impact your final total significantly. Honestly, I might want to consider just doing a quick screen share. It is the most professional way to get immediate approval without the technical headaches of Amazons restricted sharing settings.

TL;DR: Move items to a Shared List! Amazon doesnt have a direct cart link button, which is super annoying! Just select all items and click Add to List. Make it public and share the link. I found this trick on Smartphone Board when I was doing a group order last month. It works fantastic and it is way faster than screenshots! Love it for staying under budget too!
