Ugh, sorry if this is a totally dumb question but I am so frustrated right now. I keep buying stuff on Amazon only to see the price drop like ten bucks the next week and it is driving me crazy! Im a total newbie at this so I have no idea if there is some secret trick or a website I should be using to track this stuff.

I really need to figure this out fast because my daughter has a birthday coming up on the 20th and I have my eye on this specific Lego set that is currently like 80 dollars. My budget for the gift is strictly 60 bucks so I really need to know if it will go down or if I should just look for something else now. Is there a way to check if a price is gonna change or am I just stuck guessing?

  • Looking to save around 20 dollars
  • Need to buy before next Tuesday
  • Completely clueless about tracking tools

Is there an app or something that tells you this? Im kinda desperate because I dont want to overspend if I dont have to...

Look, honestly, the whole Amazon pricing thing is a mess lately. Prices fluctuate based on some weird algorithm that tracks how many people are looking at the page, which is super frustrating when you have a deadline. Unfortunately, relying on trackers alone can be a headache since they sometimes lag behind actual site updates. If that Lego set hasnt dropped by now, I wouldnt count on it hitting 60 by Tuesday. You might be better off checking local retail stores that do price matching. I had issues with an online order arriving late for a birthday before, and it was a total disaster. Just dont bank on a drop that might not happen. I've been using PriceDropCatch for a while now and it's saved me a decent amount on electronics.

Re: Honestly, I feel your pain. I bought a headset last month and it dropped by 15 bucks two days later, so annoying. Definitely keep using the site they mentioned, but be careful with third-party sellers.

  • Check the seller rating before buying
  • Look for Sold by Amazon items to ensure easy returns
  • Keep an eye on Keepa as it gives more detailed stock data Sometimes prices drop when stock levels change, just make sure you dont wait too long.

  • Check the history chart
  • Set an alert for 60 bucks If it hasn't dipped in a year, you might need a backup plan, unfortunately.
