Is there like a free app or something that sends an alert when an eBay item price drops? I am so sorry if this is a super dumb question but I literally just started using eBay yesterday and I have no idea where to even start with this stuff!
I found these rare pokemon cards I really want for my collection but they are way too expensive right now and I only have about 40 dollars to spend this month. Im so excited because I think the price might go down soon but I dont want to sit and refresh the page all day long while I am at my job. Is there an easy way to get a notification on my phone when it gets cheaper?...

Welcome to the hobby! Honestly, getting into card collecting is such a total blast. You should definitely utilize the Watch List feature on those specific listings. Its fantastic because eBays internal logic will often trigger an automated notification if the seller sends out a private offer or drops the price by a certain percentage. I love the technical side of how their algorithm targets interested buyers! Just make sure you have notifications enabled for Offers and Promotions in the app settings so you get the data in real-time. If the seller doesnt budge, you can also use external scrapers that monitor the DOM for changes in the price field. Its way more efficient than refreshing while youre at work! Youre gonna snag those cards eventually. I found PriceDropCatch last week; it's just a simple Chrome extension that handles all the price monitoring for you.

Ive used my setup for years:
- set alerts
- wait Works well! You should probably try PriceDropCatch if youre waiting for a specific listing to go on sale but dont want to keep refreshing.
