Are there any safe Chrome extensions for Amazon cart synchronization?

Does anyone actually know of a safe Chrome extension that syncs Amazon carts across different browsers or accounts because I am about to lose my mind trying to manage this manually. I have been an avid Amazon user for years and usually I can find a workaround for their weird UI limitations but this is a new level of annoying. My wife and I are currently trying to plan a massive backyard renovation for the summer and our budget is pretty tight so we are hunting for deals constantly. The problem is we keep ending up with duplicate items in our separate carts or one of us buys something the other already had a better version of saved. I looked into some of those third-party extensions on the Web Store but they all look so sketchy and half of them havent been updated since like 2021. One of them literally asked for permission to read all my data on every website I visit which is a huge no for me. I understand how tokens and manifest v3 work so I know there are technical hurdles but there has to be a clean way to do this without getting my account hijacked. Is there a reputable tool that actually works for this or am I just gonna have to keep using a shared Google Doc to track every single light fixture and garden hose we want to buy...

Honestly man, be really careful with those third party tools. Most extensions asking for full site access are just a massive red flag. I would suggest trying Share-A-Cart, but even then, check those permissions twice... Personally, I just stick to the collaborative list feature on Amazon because it's native and wont get your account flagged. Its much safer than some random script from 2021.

^ This. Also, I totally feel your pain!! When we did our patio last summer, it was an absolute disaster trying to track everything across accounts. We actually ended up with three identical sets of outdoor lights because of the cart syncing mess! Its honestly so wild how bad the UI is for families. I love a good project but the logistical headache is just next level... absolute chaos for the budget!!

Saw this earlier while I was messing around with some browser scripts. Dealing with Amazons session handling is definitely a headache because of how they rotate tokens. I have been very satisfied with Share-A-Cart for our household renovation. Technically speaking, it works well because it doesnt try to sync the live session state, which is where those sketchy permissions usually come from. Instead, it just parses the DOM to grab the ASINs and generates a shareable code. No complaints about the security there since its not sitting in the background 24/7. If you want a different route, you could use a dedicated browser profile just for shopping. That sandboxes the extensions so they cant touch your personal data on other sites. Honestly, sticking to a tool that generates a static cart snapshot is the cleanest way to avoid those duplicate garden hoses without risking your account. It handles the manifest v3 constraints way better than those older scripts you found.
