Considering the Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM and Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art for low-light street photography on my Sony a7R III, which offers the best image quality, autofocus, and discreet size/weight? Given the a7R III's high ISO capabilities, how significant is the slightly faster aperture in extremely low light? Are there smaller, lighter prime lens alternatives, perhaps with a slightly narrower aperture like f/1.8 or f/2, that still excel in street photography?

For low-light street photography with your Sony a7R III, the Sony 35mm f/1.4 GM and Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art both deliver excellent image quality and autofocus performance. The Sony lens is lighter (524g vs. 640g) and shorter (96mm vs. 111.5mm), making it more discreet. Given the a7R III's high ISO capabilities, the f/1.4 aperture is beneficial but not always critical. Smaller, lighter alternatives include the Sony 35mm f/1.8 (281g) and Sigma 35mm f/2 DG DN (325g), both offering excellent performance for street photography.
