What's the Best Sony a7 Lens for Landscape Photography on a Budget?
Given sharpness, wide angles, and budget are priorities, are there specific prime or zoom lenses recommended for a landscape enthusiast? Do user experiences favor manual focus primes like the Samyang, or is the versatility of a zoom lens more practical for landscape photography?

Do user experiences favor manual focus primes like the Samyang, or is the versatility of a zoom lens more practical for landscape photography? In my experience, the Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD is the best value for money right now. Over the years I have tried many wide-angle lenses and this one is consistently sharp while being light enough for long hikes. Zoom lenses are generally more practical than primes because you often find yourself in spots where you cant move your feet to frame the shot. If you are looking for a prime on a budget tho, the Samyang AF 18mm f/2.8 FE is a solid pick. Its very compact and the image quality is better than you would expect for the price. I have used manual focus lenses before but they can be a bit of a hassle when the light is changing fast. For a more versatile setup, the Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS is a fantastic all-rounder. It is sharp from edge to edge and covers most landscape scenarios perfectly. Most enthusiasts I know eventually move towards a high-quality zoom just for the convenience.
