For shooting interviews with a Sony camera, I would recommend one of the following lenses:

1. Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II

• Very versatile focal range covering wide to short tele
• Fast f/2.8 constant aperture for low light and shallow depth of field
• Extremely sharp optics
• Built-in optical stabilization

2. Sony FE 85mm f/1.4 GM

• Ideal focal length for flattering portraits and interviews
• Extremely fast f/1.4 aperture for creamy bokeh and subject separation
• Razor sharp even wide open
• Focuses quickly and accurately

3. Sony FE 50mm f/1.8

• Affordable option that delivers great image quality
• Bright f/1.8 aperture performs well in low light
• Compact and lightweight
• Fast and silent autofocus

I use the new released FE 20-70mm f/4 G lens on my a7C II, a compact and lightweight lens. Works well.
