I'm in the market for a versatile 24-70mm lens that can handle a variety of situations, from photo to video, and especially for travel. I'm looking for something that performs well in different lighting conditions and can be my go-to lens for most situations.
What do you consider the best 24-70mm lens for Sony cameras?

Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II - The current king. Lighter and sharper than the original GM, with better autofocus and minimal focus breathing. Expensive (~$2,300) but worth it if you need the best. The improved optics and reduced weight make this the go-to for most pros.
