Here are my suggestions for the best lenses, broken down by budget:

Best budget/value lenses:

Sigma primes (16mm f/1.4, 30mm f/1.4, 56mm f/1.4) - These are some of the best values in E-mount, with wide apertures and excellent optics. Great for low light, portraits, etc.
Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD - Probably the best standard zoom under $

Best high-end lenses:

Sony E 16-55mm f/2.8 G - Sony's pro-grade standard zoom. Super sharp with fast autofocus. Pricey but worth it if you need the best.
Sony E 70-200mm f/4 G OSS - An excellent telephoto zoom for sports and wildlife. The constant $f /4$ aperture gathers a lot of light.

Of course, the best lens depends on your needs and budget. In general, I'd suggest starting with a good standard zoom and expanding from there. Fast primes are great for portraits and artistic shots.
