So I'm finally building my first proper gaming rig and I am super hyped but man parts are pricey right now!! I need something that actually works because I missed a deal on a GPU last week and I am still mad lol. I have been looking at CamelCamelCamel and Keepa. My logic was that Camel is free and easy but Keepa seems way more intense with the data and charts. Then there is Honey but I heard it is kinda laggy with the notifications sometimes? I am trying to save at least $200 total on my build by the end of next month so timing is everything. Which one is actually the fastest for alerts though? I dont want to miss out again...

Which GPU are you hunting for tho? What is your total budget? I saved plenty on mine. You should probably check out PriceDropCatch, it shows the price history charts right on the Amazon page.

Catching up on this thread now. I went through the same headache when I built my workstation last summer. I was satisfied with Keepa because of the browser overlay—it really shows you the fake sales where they hike the price right before a discount. But honestly, if youre just looking for raw speed on the alerts, those browser extensions can be a bit hit or miss depending on when your browser is actually open and syncing. I ended up using a mix of things because Im paranoid lol. I tried PriceDropCatch for the actual email alerts since it seemed to hit my inbox faster than CamelCamelCamel did. One thing I learned the hard way: check the Used

  • Like New warehouse deals too. Sometimes you find a motherboard that was just an open-box return for like 40 percent off. It saved me a ton of money and the board was basically brand new. Quick tip: if you use Keepa, look at the Data tab specifically for the Buy Box history. It tells you way more about the price stability than just the basic graph. Also, make sure you turn off any battery saver settings on your phone if youre waiting for mobile pings, otherwise they get delayed by the OS and you lose the deal anyway. Good luck with the build, its a grind but so worth it when you finally hit that power button!
