I am seriously so excited to finally refresh my vanity for my birthday next month but I have a strict $200 limit for my Rare Beauty and Patrick Ta obsession!! I need a way to track price drops so I dont miss anything. Im torn between using the Honey extension or that Karma app (formerly shoppagr) but idk which one actually works better for Sephora specifically. Honey seems easy but Karma lets me organize lists better I think? Or is there some secret discord or something i should join instead of just refreshing my loves list every hour? Let me know which one actually pings your phone fast enough before stuff sells out...

ngl Karma usually wins on speed for mobile push notifications which is what you actually need for those Patrick Ta drops. Honey is fine for price history data but pings can be laggy tbh.

  • use Karma for the better list organization
  • turn on sephoras own in-stock alerts as a fail-safe Karma is technically more reliable for tracking specific skus across different retailers if Sephora sells out.

Quick reply while I have a sec. Over the years I have tried basically every tracker under the sun because I used to miss those holiday sets constantly. In my experience, the biggest technical hurdle is how the Sephora site cache works. Sometimes the price drops on the backend but the page doesnt reflect it for a while, which is an eternity for Rare Beauty stuff. My current setup involves using a dedicated price tracking site because I learned the hard way that browser extensions usually only update when someone with the extension active actually visits the page. I missed a huge drop once because I was waiting for a ping that never came... basically, the extension didnt know it was on sale yet. If you want real speed, you gotta look into tools that run their own independent scraping cycles. It definitely saved my birthday haul last year when I finally snagged the one I got.

If you want to stay under that 200 dollar cap, simple is usually better. I use PriceDropCatch to watch for Sephora drops because its more consistent than waiting on Honeys batch emails.

  • keeps a clear history
  • decent notification speed
  • works well for Patrick Ta specifically It just makes the birthday shopping way less stressful than manual checking.
