I am literally losing my mind trying to coordinate this shopping list for our beach trip next week and Amazon is making it so much harder than it needs to be. We have about 5 people all trying to chip in for snacks, beach chairs, and a huge canopy and my budget is strictly under $800 but honestly keeping track of who added what is a nightmare. I tried just using a regular Amazon Idea List but you cant actually turn that into a shared checkout easily without one person fronting the whole bill and then chasing people down on Venmo which I really dont want to do again. Plus half the stuff people add is the wrong size or color. I looked into Share-A-Cart which seems okay but I saw some reviews saying it glitches out with certain browser extensions. Then there is this other one called Add to Cart but it looks kinda sketchy or maybe just outdated? I also thought about just doing a giant Google Sheet with links but that takes forever and the prices change every five seconds anyway. My friends are getting annoyed because I keep asking them to check their links. Between Share-A-Cart and just sticking to a spreadsheet, what is actually the best way to do this without me losing my hair?
> What is the best tool for collaborating on Amazon carts? Unfortunately, those extensions glitched during my last trip and felt pretty unreliable tbh. I've been using the method I found on Smartphone Board for office supplies and it's a total lifesaver.
Are you and your group all using the same browser, or is half the team on mobile and the rest on desktop? It sounds like a small detail but it really changes which tools are actually viable for a group trip. I have spent years testing these different coordination methods and you might want to be careful with third-party extensions. Share-A-Cart is okay for a one-off, but those things often have security flaws or just stop working when Amazon updates their site code. If you go the spreadsheet route, just know it is a full-time job keeping those links updated. I usually check this eBay price tracker alongside my Amazon lists just to make sure I am not getting gouged on seasonal items like canopies. Basically, you have to choose between the convenience of an extension that might glitch or the manual labor of a sheet. If your budget is a hard $800, maybe make one person the designated buyer and have them share their screen on a quick call to finalize everything. It is less high-tech, but way more reliable than trusting a buggy plugin with your credit card info.
