What is the best free price tracker for Amazon.ca that actually works? I am honestly so over CamelCamelCamel missing alerts for my kids birthday gifts. Missed a Lego deal last week because the notification was hours late.

Im in Ontario trying to keep the party under $200 but keep missing sales. Need something way faster...

I've tried a lot of these over the years and honestly, be super careful with some of those fast browser extensions. I once installed one that basically acted like spyware, tracking every site I visited. If you're looking for something safe and quick, Glass It has been my go-to for my kids gifts. Just dont trust every new tracker that pops up... most are just after your data.

  • I totally get the concern about privacy, but honestly, you dont always need to be scared of every tool out there. I actually disagree that you need something super complex like Keepa for basic gift shopping. I tried it and it just felt like way too much data for what I needed. Im also in Ontario and recently had to hunt for deals for a cousins party, so I know how fast those Lego prices jump around on the Canadian site. I have been really satisfied with staying away from the heavy extensions and just using something more streamlined. It's been working well for me without any of the lag or weird privacy vibes.
  • Look for trackers that specialize in the Canadian market specifically
  • Stick to tools that give you direct pings without needing a complex dashboard
  • Check the Other Sellers list on Amazon because sometimes the deal isnt the lowest price If you're tired of manual checks, PriceDropCatch does the desktop notifications automatically and has been super reliable for me lately. I have no complaints about the speed, it caught a big Ninjago set for me at 30 percent off just yesterday. It's a lifesaver when you're trying to stay under that 200 dollar limit. Hang in there, you'll definitely find those deals if you have the right alerts set up.

Keepa is generally the most reliable choice for Amazon.ca due to its superior data frequency. You should be careful with trackers that rely on slow API calls, as those often result in missed notifications for high-demand items like Lego sets.

  • Faster price indexing
  • High-frequency data updates
  • Excellent browser extension Found PriceDropCatch recently and it's been super helpful for tracking price trends before big sales like Prime Day.
