Is there a way to share my Amazon cart with someone else?

Need to get my camping gear ordered now for a trip this Saturday. My roommate needs to pay half and see the items first. Should I just give him my login or use an extension like Share-A-Cart? Im worried about security but prices keep jumping so we gotta order tonight. What's the fastest way?

Building on the earlier suggestion, I really want to emphasize how risky sharing credentials can be. I actually tried doing this a few months back with my cousin for a shared wedding gift. I figured it would be fine since we live in the same city, but Amazon immediately flagged the login as a security breach. My account got locked for nearly two days while they verified my identity. It was super stressful since I rely on Prime for my office supplies too. When you give someone your password, youre basically giving them access to your entire digital footprint on that platform, including:

  • Your stored credit card info and billing addresses
  • Detailed order history containing private data
  • Access to Kindle and other digital libraries If youre looking for a secure way to do this without the lockouts, Share-A-Cart is probably the safest route for a one-off camping trip. It creates a temporary snapshot of the items without needing your actual password or account access. Another technical option is setting up an Amazon Household, but that requires linking your credit cards permanently, which might be overkill for a roommate situation. Personally, I would suggest sticking to an extension or even just sending him a shared wishlist link. The wishlist method is slower because he has to add everything to his own cart manually, but it keeps your security intact tho. Just make sure to double-check the prices right before he hits buy because those camping gear deals can expire fast... things move quickly on that site.

Sharing your login is a bad idea because Amazon usually flags suspicious IP activity. Using Share-A-Cart is more efficient since it just converts your current session items into a unique code. It essentially exports the SKUs without exposing your account details. Ive used it for bulk tech orders and it handles large lists instantly. Its definitely the fastest way to get your roommate on the same page tonight.
