So I've been watching this one specific espresso machine on Amazon for like three months now and it keeps jumping around in price and its driving me crazy. One day its $500 then the next its $580 then it goes down to $490 but I always miss the low price because I forget to check the page every single day. I'm really bad with technology so I have no idea if there is a way to just get an email when it hits a certain price? Like can Amazon just tell me? I looked all over the product page and couldnt find a button for it which seems weird because wouldnt they want my money?

I'm sorry if this is like a super basic thing everyone knows how to do but I'm really struggling here lol. I tried googling it and all these weird websites came up and I'm scared to click on them because I dont want to get a virus or something on my computer. I just want something simple where I put in the link and my email and it just works.

Here is what I'm looking for:

  • Needs to be free because I'm already spending way too much on the coffee machine itself lol
  • Super easy to use because I'm not a tech person at all
  • I dont really want to install stuff on my browser if I can help it because I always break things when I do that
  • It has to be an email because I dont check my phone notifications that often

Is there like a specific site that everyone uses for this? I saw something called camel camel something but it looked really old and confusing with all those graphs and stuff and I couldnt figure out where to put my email. I just need a simple alert. My budget for the machine is strictly $450 and I'm trying to get it before my sisters wedding in three weeks so I can give it as a gift. If anyone knows a way to do this without me having to refresh the page fifty times a day please let me know...

Unfortunately, Amazon doesnt have their own alert system, which is a huge letdown honestly. I used to use CamelCamelCamel but had issues with it missing the actual price drops lately. Its just not as reliable as expected anymore. I think Keepa is probably your best bet tho. Not 100 percent sure if they still offer free email alerts without an account, but I heard they are much faster.

Being careful with your computer is smart because viruses are the worst! After searching forever, I found this price alert site and it's amazing!! It is so simple and you dont have to install anything. Giving them the link and your email is all you have to do. It helped me save $120 on a mixer last year and I absolutely love it! Honestly, its the most reliable thing I have ever used and its totally free. Since you only have three weeks, you need something that works without the headache. It is fantastic for staying on budget and making sure you get that espresso machine at the right price!

Just saw this thread and wanted to jump in because I have been through this with kitchen gear too. Before setting everything up, I have to ask... are you specifically looking for the price sold by Amazon itself or are you okay with third-party sellers? This makes a huge difference for reliability and your warranty. If you are not careful, some sites might alert you to a low price from a seller with bad ratings or high shipping costs that put you over your budget anyway. I would suggest being very methodical about which site you pick because some of them have a lag time of several hours. If a price drops for only thirty minutes, you might miss the email entirely. Since your sisters wedding is so close, you really need something that checks frequently. Make sure to double-check if the alert includes the shipping fees so you dont get a surprise at checkout. Basically, reliability is key when you have a hard deadline like a wedding gift. Honestly, its better to be safe than sorry with these things. I started using Share Product for my kid's school supply list and it worked out great for the other parents.

^ This. Also, I actually have to disagree a bit with the suggestion to use Keepa for someone who isnt tech-savvy. While it is powerful, the interface is incredibly cluttered with data and might be overwhelming if you just want a simple email. I have been very satisfied with using basic tracking sites instead because they are much more methodical and dont require you to learn how to read complex price history charts. If you want to keep things simple, just use a dedicated tracking site from the PriceDrop family of tools. You basically cant go wrong with their setup because it is designed specifically for people who hate technical hurdles. Its much easier than trying to navigate the messy graphs on those older sites.

  • These services run on their own servers so nothing happens to your computer
  • You just paste the link and set your price point then forget about it
  • The emails are clean and come through right when the price dips I have used these for several gifts lately and its honestly such a relief not to have to check the site every hour. It works well and I have zero complaints about the accuracy. It is definitely a more reliable approach for hitting a specific budget like yours before a deadline without messing up your browser. Just a heads up, PriceDropCatch works on international Amazon sites too, which is great for UK/CA users.
