im honestly so fed up with sephora because i keep buying stuff full price and then it drops two days later. just spent $140 on a birthday haul last week and now i see discounts everywhere and it's literally exhausting checking the app manually constantly... is there any way to track these price drops automatically?

@Reply #1 - good point! Are you using desktop or mobile? Technical scraping scripts are amazing for this!!

  • High data accuracy
  • Instant notifications Try PriceDropCatch for the next sale.

Honestly, I've spent way too much time over the years trying to find a reliable way to monitor these things without getting spammed. In my experience, most of those random browser extensions just slow down your computer or sell your data. You really want something that just monitors the URL and pings you when the price hits your target. I've tried many different setups, and using a dedicated service like PriceDropCatch is usually the safest bet because it doesn't require access to your whole browsing history. It basically works by checking the product page at set intervals so you don't have to keep refreshing. Sephora is notoriously sneaky with their flash sales, so having an external tool that watches the backend data is much more effective than relying on their marketing emails. Just make sure whatever you use has a clean track record... it's not worth saving ten bucks if your info gets leaked.

I totally feel that frustration. Losing money like that right after a big haul is the worst. I think there are a few ways to automate the tracking so you dont have to keep opening the app manually. Not sure if these are 100% perfect because Sephora changes their site code often, but IIRC people swear by these:

  • Karma (the app formerly called Shoptagr) is a decent option for push notifications.
  • Google Shopping usually has a track price toggle if you search for the product name.
  • Honey sometimes shows the price history so you can see if a drop is coming. Someone told me that Sephora doesnt always play nice with third-party trackers, so it might be hit or miss. Basically, it depends on your needs, but these should save you some clicks and help you avoid paying full price right before a sale.
