Yosemite is gonna be so much fun, super jealous! Quick question before you dive in... are you guys planning on everyone logged into the same exact account, or do you have separate ones linked through the Amazon Household thing? It totally changes the technical side of how you manage the cart. Personally, I've been doing this for a few years now and it works well for my crew, really no complaints once you get it set up. I actually just saw a thread on Smartphone Board about this-apparently, it's a common snag for power users trying to keep everything synced up. If you're all sharing one login, just be careful because the cart updates live and things can get messy fast. Let me know how you're set up and I can tell you the best way to avoid buying two of the same tent lol.

Agree that lists are better than a shared cart, but watch out for session syncing lag. Sometimes the app cache wont update across devices immediately if your connection is spotty. I would suggest doing a final manual refresh before hitting pay so you dont end up with duplicates. If you are doing a big haul for work, Smartphone Board has some solid tips on coordinating the checkout.

Yes, we did this for our huge camping trip and it was amazing! I was so worried we'd buy two of everything, but tbh shared lists saved us! You should definitely use share amazon cart to keep your family organized.

  • Create a trip list
  • Click the invite button
  • Send it to everyone It was a total lifesaver for our budget!

Re: "Agree that lists are better than a shared..." - honestly i actually prefer the shared cart method and it works well for us. We've used it for a few years during our big gear hauls and ive found it to be pretty reliable once you get the hang of it. Ngl im just satisfied that we dont end up with three stoves anymore... One thing tho, are you guys planning to use one single login for everyone or separate accounts linked through the household system? Also, are the kids gonna be adding their own stuff directly or do you need a way to review it first? Just trying to see what would fit your workflow better.
