So I finally started hititng the gym like five days a week and I am also trying to get into running but my current headphones are just those cheap ones I got at a gas station and they are honestly terrible. Every time I start sweating or moving fast they just slide right out of my ears and it drives me crazy.
I keep seeing people wearing Sony headphones and they look really nice but when I looked them up online I got so confused because there are so many different names like XM4 and XM5 and I dont really understand the difference at all. I have about 300 dollars to spend since it was my birthday recently and I want something that is actually gonna last and not break if I get them all sweaty since I live in Florida and the humidity is just brutal here even in the mornings. I dont know if the big earmuff style is better for working out or if I should stick to the tiny ones that go inside your ear because I'm worried the big ones might be too heavy or fall off while I'm on the treadmill or doing jumping jacks.
Sorry if this is a really dumb question I just have no idea where to even start with all the tech stuff. Like do the big ones get really hot on your ears? Which Sony ones should I get that won't fall off or get ruined by sweat when I'm doing a really intense workout?
Unfortunately, the premium over-ears aren't as good as expected for intense training. I've had issues with the Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones failing in humidity because they lack an IP rating... it's a letdown. Technically, these are your best choices:
I agree that over-ear models get way too hot for Florida humidity.
