im literally so confused by all this makeup stuff but my friend told me i should try sephora for my first real skincare haul. ive got about 60 bucks to spend and i really need some new face wash and moisturizer since mine ran out last week. i keep seeing people talk about coupons but i cant find any actual codes on the site? sorry if this is a super dumb question but is there like a secret first time buyer discount or do i just have to pay full price for everything? i live in the us if that matters at all, just dont wanna pay full price if i dont have to...

Not a dumb question at all, trust me. Sephora is notoriously stingy with actual promo codes for first-time buyers compared to other sites. Usually, they dont just hand out a twenty percent off coupon for signing up. Instead, you gotta look at joining their Beauty Insider program because thats where you get the free shipping and birthday gifts later on. I learned this the hard way when I first started getting into skincare. I spent hours searching for working coupon codes online and ended up with a cart full of expired junk that didnt work. What I should have done is just check their Sale section first or wait for one of their big seasonal savings events. Since you have about sixty bucks, I would suggest sticking to travel sizes or drugstore alternatives for your cleanser so you dont blow your whole budget in one go. Facewash washes right down the drain anyway, so you really dont need to spend a fortune on it. Make sure to check out the mini aisle near the checkout too, sometimes you can snag a decent moisturizer trial size without paying full price for the giant tub. Hang in there, navigating all this makeup and skincare stuff gets way easier once you figure out where the actual deals are hiding.

Over the years Ive learned that Sephora rarely does direct cash-off coupon codes for newbies. In my experience, you have to be careful with random extension tools anyway since half of those codes are expired clickbait. Here is how to actually stretch that 60 dollar budget safely:

  • Join the free Beauty Insider tier first so you can grab whatever checkout samples match your skin type
  • Look at mini sizes instead of full size face wash, especially for brands like La Roche-Posay or Youth to the People
  • Check the Sale section online because they often markdown decent cleansers that are just repackaged Stick to basic trusted brands for your first haul and dont get sucked into the hype products.
