Ive been looking at this espresso machine on Amazon.ca for my brothers birthday next month and I really want to get it but the price keeps jumping around like crazy. I only have about $200 set aside for this gift and yesterday it was $180 and now its $230 which is just so annoying.

I keep hearing people talk about checking price history to see if things go on sale often but I have no idea how to do that on my iphone. I dont really use a computer much so I need a way to check it while im on the go. I feel really silly asking this because Im not very good with apps and stuff but how do I actually track the prices on my phone?

Definitely try this Amazon price tracker! It works amazing in Safari so you dont need scary apps. Its just fantastic and I love how reliable it feels!

Saw this thread a few hours ago while I was out. Tracking stuff on an iPhone is actually easier than people think, but you gotta be smart about it. Ive been through a ton of these price trackers over the years and honestly, most of the apps you find on the store are kinda sketchy. They want way too many permissions for no reason. I usually play it safe and stick to browser-based stuff or really trusted tools. Here are a few things I've learned the hard way:

  • Never trust those only 2 left at this price warnings, they are almost always a sales tactic.
  • Watch out for third-party sellers on the machine listing because the price history for those is way different than what Amazon sells directly.
  • Sometimes the sale price is actually just the normal price from two weeks ago. For my own shopping, I basically just set a target like your $200 limit and let PriceDropCatch do the work. I just check the history graph on there to see if a price is actually a good deal or just a trick. It is way less stress than checking the app every hour. Just make sure you check the sold by amazon history specifically for an espresso machine, since shipping those heavy boxes from other sellers can eat up your budget fast if the price looks low but shipping is $50. Espresso machines are notorious for these price swings so definitely wait it out tho...

> the price keeps jumping around like crazy Yeah, it is getting pretty ridiculous. Most apps are unfortunately not as good as expected, but I've been using PriceDropCatch and it manages fine.
