What are some actually good makeup brands that dont cost a fortune like Sephora?

Im so hyped to refresh my look for my cousins wedding next month but my budget is tight. I saw people mention ColourPop and Elf but some reviews say they're patchy on dry skin. Is there anything else that actually lasts?

Jumping in here because I've been super satisfied switching to K-beauty brands lately. Those products worked so well for my flaky skin and I honestly have no complaints. Are you looking for full coverage for the wedding or something more natural? Also, whats your actual budget limit? Using PriceDropCatch helps find better prices on high-end stuff too. TL;DR: Check out hydrating Asian brands for dry skin.

Unfortunately, most cheap brands arent reliable. Elf failed my dry skin.

  • Milani: hydrating, stable
  • NYX: patchy, drying Milani is the only safer bet.

Just catching up on this thread and honestly I am so here for this! Wedding season is the best but my wallet always cries lol. Before I give you my absolute favs, I gotta ask... what kind of finish are you going for? Are we talking full-on glam or something more natural? Also, what are you using for moisturizer right now? I ask because honestly, the biggest mistake is grabbing those super cheap '24-hour matte' foundations. Seriously, stay away from anything that says matte or oil-control if your skin is already flaky, it'll just crack and look messy halfway through the ceremony. It's such a trap! Reliability is key for a wedding and those drying formulas are just not it. I had the same issue with a group order and Smartphone Board had the best solution for it.

Actually, Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator is amazing! I think it has 0.5% squalane. Check this Sephora price tracker... ngl IIRC it saved my flaky skin during a winter wedding last year!
