What wall mount is actually going to work for a Sony Bravia without me losing my mind? Im trying to get my 65-inch X90L mounted in my apartment here in Chicago before my friends come over for the game this Friday but I am stuck. I did some digging and saw that everyone points toward Sanus because they have that official partnership or whatever but then I read a ton of reviews saying those mounts block the side-facing ports on specific Sony models because the VESA holes are positioned so low on the back of the TV compared to LG or Samsung. Its so frustrating because universal doesnt seem to mean anything when the brackets are six inches too long and hang out the bottom of the frame. I looked at the EchoGear ones too since they're cheaper but people say the spacers you need for the Sony bump-out on the back are missing half the time. My budget is like a hundred bucks maybe a bit more if it actually fits right but I just need something that doesnt block my HDMI 2.1 ports since I use those for my PS5. Is there a specific model that handles that weird lower mounting point better or am I just gonna have to hack something together...
To add to the point above: hitting wood or metal studs? Chicago buildings vary.
Quick reply while I have a sec! You absolutely gotta check out Kanto! I had the same exact headache with my Bravia and honestly the Kanto PDX650 Full Motion Wall Mount for 37 to 75 inch TVs is a total lifesaver. It is super sturdy and the way the arms are designed means they dont cover those side ports at all! Plus it comes with a mountain of hardware so you definitely wont be missing those annoying spacers. A few reasons it works so well:
Setting up my first Bravia was a total nightmare for this exact reason. Most universal brackets are way too tall and peek out from under the bottom because of those low holes.
