It's a swivel mount that sits super flush, giving you that 11mm distance while still pulling out to reach ports. It works well and I'm so happy with how sturdy it is. Lesson learned: the official bracket is worth it for peace of mind, right? gl!

Ok so, i feel u... mounting these thin OLEDs is nerve-wracking! Basically, you've got two main options: flush mounts or full-motion arms. Flush mounts look fantastic but make HDMI access a total nightmare. Full-motion arms are more expensive, but they're way more practical for cable swapping and actually very sturdy. I love mine!! I totally agree that the thinness of these panels makes the whole process feel like youre handling a sheet of glass, tbh. Looking at the market data for these high-end sets, one thing people often overlook when comparing brands is the VESA placement. Sony usually puts their mounting holes way lower on the chassis compared to LG or Samsung, which can really mess up your measurements if you just swap an old mount. Ngl, you gotta be careful with generic full-motion arms too. Even if they say they support the weight, the torque on a 65-inch OLED can be weird because the center of gravity is so low. Ive seen setups where the mount is technically rated for the weight, but the tilt mechanism just cant handle the bottom-heavy distribution of the Sony internals. Basically, you dont want the TV tilting forward on its own over time. A few things to watch out for before you commit:

• Screw depth is huge. Sony is super picky about the M6 bolts, and using ones that are even 2mm too long can punch right into the internal boards behind the panel.
• Check the vertical offset of the bracket. Since the holes are lower, a standard mount might make the TV sit way higher than you actually planned.
• Wall plate width. Some of these thinner models need a wider plate to distribute the load across two studs, especially if youre extending a full-motion arm out more than 10 inches. Its basically a trade-off between aesthetics and physics at this point!
