I just bought a Sony FX30 because I want to start filming my trips but honestly I have no idea what I'm doing lol. I'm going to Japan in like three weeks and I'm super stressed about what else I actually need to buy before I get on the plane. I spent almost all my savings on the body and one lens so I've only got about 250 bucks left. I've heard people talking about rigs and stuff but it all looks so complicated and expensive. Sorry if this is a really dumb question but if you only had a tiny budget what are the top three essential accessories I need to actually make this thing work?

saw this today. unfortunately most travel rigs are just dead weight and i had issues with bulky gear slowing me down in tokyo. keeping it simple is better for your wallet anyway.

Since you are on a tight budget and leaving soon, focus on reliability over fancy rigs. You dont need a cage yet. Just get the basics so the camera actually functions in the field.

Wow ok that changes things. Gonna have to rethink my approach now.
