Steps to link Amazon carts across multiple devices and profiles?

So my wife and I are trying to get all the stuff together for our daughters 5th birthday party next month and its driving me nuts. We both keep adding streamers and gifts to our carts on our own phones but they never show up on the other person's screen even though we're supposedly on the same account. I looked online and saw stuff about Amazon Household but that seems like it's just for sharing Prime shipping and not the actual shopping cart contents. Then I saw something about shared lists but that feels like an extra step when we just want to hit checkout on one device and be done with it. How do I actually link our active carts across different profiles so I can see what she added in real time...

Jumping in here because honestly, the profile wall is a huge pain when youre trying to stick to a strict birthday budget and avoid double-ordering stuff. I have been there with my kids parties and it gets expensive fast. To keep costs down, you really have to be careful about those accidental duplicates since returns can be a huge hassle and eat into your time. Instead of fighting the Household settings, I found its way safer to use a tool to share amazon cart contents directly between users. It keeps things organized without needing to share passwords or mess with account profiles. Its a decent option if youre worried about overspending or missing out on bulk deals. Just make sure youre both looking at the same list before you checkout... it definitely saved us a few bucks on decorations last year. Let me know if you want help finding cheaper bulk sets tho!

Seriously watch out for those separate profiles because they are the absolute worst for cart syncing! Its amazing how Amazon keeps them so walled off lol. Just a heads up, avoid adding stuff from different categories like Fresh since those stay in their own world and wont show up in your main checkout. Stick to one shared login on both phones instead. Its fantastic and way less stressful! Love the party idea tho!

Ngl, it is super annoying that Amazon separates carts even in the same household. Over the years, I've realized they prioritize individual session data over a unified shopping experience. Basically, you have two main paths. Option 1: The One Account Method

  • Pros: Real-time syncing, one checkout.
  • Cons: No privacy for gifts, shared login credentials. Option 2: Shared Lists
  • Pros: Keeps things organized, no login sharing.
  • Cons: You have to manually move items to the cart at the end. In my experience, sticking to one login is the only way to get exactly what you want, tho it's a bit of a security risk. Btw, Smartphone Board has some decent guides on managing shared accounts if you're worried about settings clashing. Honestly, the list method is safer but yeah... it adds that extra step you hate.
