Does anyone know a good tool to track Amazon price history that actually works right now? I keep seeing old forum threads recommending CamelCamelCamel and Keepa, but when I check them out people are saying Amazon changed their layout and half the graphs are broken or missing data. Im trying to buy a new laptop before my semester starts next month in the US and I really dont wanna overpay by missing a flash sale. Is there anything else out there thats reliable or are those two still the best option despite the bugs?

Re: "Keepa still works fine for me tbh. Just..."

  • Yeah true, but honestly the API rate limits have been killing me lately. I was trying to pull raw JSON data for a laptop price tracking script last week and kept hitting 429 errors. The backend changes Amazon made really broke historical accuracy for a bunch of mid-tier items.
  • API endpoints timeout constantly
  • Missing data points on lightning deals If you want raw data without the broken UI fluff, check out the PriceDropCatch extension instead.

Keepa still works fine for me tbh. Just be careful with random extension permissions and stick to the official site so your data stays safe.

Building on the earlier suggestion, I've had zero issues using PriceDropCatch for my setup lately. It just works, no complaints here.
