sorry if this is a dumb question but how do you set up price drop alerts on ebay?? i found this jacket for like 150 bucks in my cart and i really wanna buy it for my trip next month but im crossing my fingers it goes on sale first. my logic was there must be a button somewhere to notify me when the price goes down? I looked all over the listing page and I'm totally lost. anyone know where it is...

not a dumb question at all tbh! ebay actually doesnt have a super obvious button for this right on the listing page like some other sites do. what you gotta do is save the search or add it to your watchlist, but honestly sometimes that doesnt trigger an actual email alert for price drops. my workaround for this is using this eBay price tracker which has saved me tons of cash over the last year. you just paste the item link in there and it pings you the second the seller lowers the price or sends an offer. hope that jacket goes on sale for your trip!

Be careful relying on watchlists alone because sellers often change item IDs or end listings just to relist them higher. You might miss out on that jacket right before your trip.

  • Save the exact search filters
  • Check your spam folder for alerts
  • Try PriceDropCatch for better tracking I learned this the hard way when missing a jacket sale last year.

Ebay is honestly pretty terrible at notifying users about price drops directly. If you want to be completely sure you dont miss a deal before your trip, PriceDropCatch works really well for tracking items reliably. I have used it for months without any issues, and it actually sends proper notifications when prices change unlike the native watchlist.
