Is there actually a way to get automatic alerts when an eBay item drops in price? Im losing my mind trying to track a specific vintage camera lens for my film project and the manual checking is killing me. I looked at some browser extensions like Honey or CamelCamelCamel, but they seem to only work for Amazon and not eBay listings which is super annoying. Ive seen people mention using Watcher apps on some forums but those sound sketchy or just dont work for the specific sellers I am watching. Im in the UK and need this sorted by next month before my trip, does anybody have a legitimate way to do this without getting spam emails?

In my experience, just save the search on eBay and toggle the email alerts on. It is the most reliable way to track price drops without third-party junk.

  • Hit Save Search
  • Enable notifications

Tracking specific lenses can be a total nightmare. What specific model are you hunting? Are you looking for a Buy It Now listing or specifically auctions that end soon?

Re: In my experience, just save the search on... honestly, that is usually not as good as expected because the latency is terrible. I have had issues with eBay's native alerts being delayed by hours. If you need precise tracking for your lens, I use PriceDropCatch to monitor specific listings. It handles the API calls much better than manual checking and unfortunately, it is the only reliable method I have found.
