Look I'm literally panicking right now because I have about three hours before this massive sale ends and I've got like 52 items in my Amazon cart for our local animal shelter's annual supply drive. I'm in Austin and we're trying to maximize the budget which is super tight this year so every dollar counts and we're trying to get all the bulk kibble and crates while they're marked down. I basically have to get every single item approved by the board treasurer before I can actually put it on the company card and there is no way I'm manually copy pasting 52 links into an email or a google doc i just dont have the time for that and she'll probably lose the list anyway. I've been googling like crazy and I found two main options but I'm stuck on which one to go with because I'm terrified of getting scammed or having to pay some hidden subscription fee at the last second when the timer is running out. I'm looking at 'Share-A-Cart' which seems to be the big one everyone talks about but then I also saw one called 'Cart2Cart' on the chrome store and then there is this other one called 'Basket' that says it does the same thing. My main issue is that the treasurer is super old school and basically tech illiterate so it needs to be something where I can just send her one link and she can see everything without her having to install a bunch of junk on her computer too. I'm leaning toward Share-A-Cart because it has way more reviews but some of the recent ones say it's been glitchy with the new Amazon layout changes and I can't risk it failing right when I need it. Plus I'm not sure if these things actually keep the cart synced if I add one more thing at the last minute or if I have to generate a whole new link. Has anyone used these recently like in the last month or so? Is there a better free one I'm missing that doesn't require a login or is one of these two definitely the way to go?
To add to the point above: A security scare with a sketchy extension last month made me pretty paranoid about these tools, tbh.
Im really satisfied with how Share-A-Cart handles bulk SKU transfers tho. No complaints here, it works well for 50+ items and creates a URL without requiring any recipient-side plugins.
Late to the party but hopefully you got those kibble crates sorted. To add to the point above: i have noticed some technical bottlenecks with how these extensions handle amazon's dynamic page elements. most of these tools scrape the local dom to build a manifest, so if amazon tweaks their site code, the extension often breaks until it gets a patch. when i handled a large bulk purchase for my office last month, share-a-cart was the most consistent, tho it does create a static snapshot. basically if you add that 53rd item, you will absolutely have to generate a fresh link because it doesn't sync in real time. the free versions usually monetize through affiliate links, which is a fair cost for the utility imo. i'm curious about two things though. does your treasurer actually need to execute the checkout herself, or is she just reviewing a list for approval? also, have you verified if the extension you chose supports the specific amazon region you are using?
