I am currently looking to mount a few different Sony TVs in my home, ranging from a smaller 43-inch Bravia in the guest room to a massive 75-inch X90L in the main living area. I am trying to find a reliable brand or specific mount series that is known for being compatible across their whole lineup.
My main concern is ensuring the mount doesn't block the specific port layouts Sony uses, while also handling the weight of the larger sets. Does anyone have experience with a particular brand that offers great tilt or full-motion options for various Sony sizes? I would love to hear which ones provided the most secure fit and easiest installation.
Seconding the recommendation above! Sanus is honestly the way to go if you want zero stress with those weirdly placed Sony ports. I actually just finished mounting a Sony 75 Inch X90L Series 4K Ultra HD TV in my living room and went through this exact same struggle lol. The thing with Sony is that their VESA holes are sometimes lower on the chassis than other brands, which can make the TV sit higher than you expected. Plus, that back panel bump is a real pain! I ended up using the Sanus VLF728-B2 Full-Motion Wall Mount for my big set. It is definitely more expensive, but the build quality is insane and it comes with a huge variety of spacers that saved my life... basically made sure I could still reach the HDMI 2.1 ports for my PS5. For your smaller 43-inch guest room set, you dont need to spend that much. I suggest checking out these:
Check out Monoprice Commercial Series Full Motion Articulating TV Wall Mount if ur looking to save cash. It's usually under $55 and seriously sturdy for big screens. Pro tip: use the MountingHeight website tool... it's a lifesaver for getting the placement right. I've been doing this for years and safety is everything, so basically just make sure u hit the studs. It's way cheaper than Sanus but still super reliable. gl!
In my experience, i totally get the port layout struggle!! > My main concern is ensuring the mount doesn't block the specific port layouts Sony uses sony ports are weirdly placed lol. i have two sony bravias and sanus or echogear worked for me cuz they include spacers... basically prevents blocking anything. for that huge 75-inch, i'd go with their full-motion ones. have u checked the weight on that model? anyway, those brands worked for me. gl!
