honestly im so done with these cheap $15 strips from amazon that keep peeling off my 65 inch Sony and the colors never match what im actually watching its so frustrating. i just want something that actually works and looks premium for once because im finally ready to drop like $120 or $150 to do this right before our big movie night next week. i need:
- something that stays stuck
- handles the 65 inch size
- maybe syncs with the screen?
im looking for suggestions that wont be a nightmare to install or flicker every five minutes. what are the best backlit kits you guys recommend for a screen this big?

Using an HDMI sync box instead of a camera ensures the colors match exactly what is on the screen without any weird room lighting interference. It fits 65-inch sets easily and usually stays within your budget. For a more budget-conscious but still reliable option, the Govee DreamView T1 TV Backlight for 55-65 inch TVs is a proven model. Its older tech, but the adhesive is decent and it handles the size well. Just be sure to wipe the back of the TV with isopropyl alcohol first or it wont bond properly... honestly its the only way to make sure it doesnt peel off later. Both of these are way more stable than those cheap no-name strips.

Are you using the native Sony apps? Sync boxes wont capture that signal.
- Fancy Led Fancy Sync Box Gen 2
- Scrub with alcohol Adhesion fails if there is any dust.
