Honestly I'm getting so annoyed with my Sony X90K because even though the picture is amazing the glare in my living room is killing me and the built in speakers are just... not it for competitive stuff. I spent all this money on a 'perfect for PS5' tv but I feel like I'm missing half the experience or something. I'm trying to get a better setup going by Friday because I have friends coming over for a tournament and everything feels messy and incomplete.
I've heard people talk about bias lighting or specific remotes because the Sony one is kind of clunky but I don't know what's actually worth the cash. Do I need a specific HDMI switcher since there are only two high speed ports?? One is taken by my soundbar and it's driving me crazy having to swap cables every time I want to play a different console. Is there a specific brand of cables or a stand that helps with the height because the legs on this thing are way too wide for my desk? Im just tired of things not working smoothly together and need some quick fixes before this weekend...
Unfortunately, I had issues with the X90K too. It is super frustrating that a 'perfect for PS5' TV has such a poor port layout. Sony really missed the mark there, and those wide legs are a total nightmare for smaller desks. For your bright Seattle room, bias lighting is a lifesaver for glare and eye strain. I also hated the built-in sound for CoD, it's just not as good as expected for a premium TV. To stay under $300, I would grab these:
